The JKA (Japan Kendama Association) celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2015. The makers of the TK16 decided to release a very limited number of special edition kendama to celebrate. Unlike the standard TK16 these kendama are Beech wood for the ken and sarado and birch for the tama. We are also told the paint is different as well.
While they are JKA certified they cannot be used for “Dan” level tests; only the lower level tests.
These are great additions to any kendama collection and a piece of history as well.
