The Broken 2.0 is an update of Josh Kim’s original shape. The cups are now wider so the tama sits flush with the sarado, the base cup hole has been updated for optimal balance, and the spike is shorter to make a more balanced kendama. If you like the Broken, these tweaks make it even better.

The inspiration for this design is a combination of the literal vibes of Josh living in NYC witb the cracked concrete and the idea how kendama is a fine line of chaos and order. It is also a reflection on Josh’s emotions surrounding kendama and finding his place in the constantly evolving kendama landscape, with the red representing rage, blood, vibrance, & work.
